What will happen in the science of genitics?

Can ethical or moral arguments be seen as absolutes in that progress?  What are exceptions?  And what is meant by an exception?  I mean something's do repulse us, but.. I wonder what exploration might be really important regardless of our natural feelings.  Just to begin a conversation at least with myself as I begin thinking about stuff like this.  When mutations happen naturally anyway!  Don't judge me yet, this is just the start!  I have almost verified gene mutations from a study that was done five years ago by some scientists about gene loss that happened only recently that was unexplainable.
