Perhaps ridding us of terror was a dumb idea.

Terror and creativity have made some great stories.  Try Turn of the Screw.   Henry James wrote the greatest horror story ever!!!  Now we are just mildly afraid of things like weird noises and shirt designs we have never seen, or words never spoken.   America land of the brave.   I think not.
